Valentines Day & Chocolate Bar Cake!

This cake is also known as Black & White Chocolate Wedding Cakes!!!

There is always a very deep and direct relation between the valentine's day ideas creation and enjoying extra rich chocolate candy cake with strong hot black Coffee. Here is some of my family secret recipe. Indulge yourself into something very sweet & heavenly delicious. Have Fun!

My mother one day made this once for family gathering and now everyone insists that it be at every gathering! It's so easy and fun. First chop the chocolate bars & put them in the freezer, then hit them with a hammer while still in the wrapper.

Total Time to prepare: 15 Min approx.

* 1/2 (18.25 ounce) package devil's food cake mix
* 3/4 cup milk
* 1-1/2 eggs
* 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 1/2 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
* 1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
* 1/4 cup white sugar
* 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
* 1/2 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
* 1/2 cup chopped pecans
* 2 (1.5 ounce) bars milk chocolate candy, coarsely chopped

Jack-up with Hot Non-Alcoholic Black Coffee.

Preparation:

This recipe's Ingredients were scaled to yield a new amount. The directions below still refer to the original recipe yield of 3 layer 8 inch cake.

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour 3 (8 inch) pans.
2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, milk, eggs, oil and instant vanilla pudding mix. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat 4 minutes on medium speed. Pour batter into prepared pans.
3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
4. To make the frosting: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with the white sugar and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping, pecans and chopped chocolate. Spread between layers and on top and sides of cake.

LaToya Jackson claims her brother's death was "not an accident"

In a news article posted on http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/music/newsid_10400000/newsid_10401000/10401060.stm, the headline caught my eyes, stating that Jackson's sister LaToya Jackson claims her brother was "murdered for money", the news article stated:

LaToya Jackson has claimed her brother Michael was murdered because he was "worth so much more dead than alive".
Speaking during a TV interview, the singer demanded what she called "the truth" surrounding the star's death in June 2009.
She said: "He was murdered for his catalogue and they knew that."
Tomorrow (25 June) marks the one year anniversary of the Thriller singer's death with fans organising tributes around the globe.
'No' accident
Earlier this week music trade magazine Billboard reported that the royalties accumulated since the star's death had earned the Jackson estate $1 billion (£677 million).
In an interview with GMTV she said: "Personally I think it is a slap in the face, not just to Michael but to the entire family. It's totally unfair, it's wrong and it was not an accident."
Asked whether she believed the star was murdered, she added: "I never had a doubt.

"You must remember from the day that I found out that Michael was no longer with us, when my mother screamed 'he's dead' on the phone, I just went into this, 'Who did it?"'
Michael Jackson's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter and is currently awaiting trial.
LaToya's not the only member of the Jackson family talking ahead of the first anniversary of Michael's death.
His brother Jermaine's claiming converting to Islam might have saved his life.
"I felt that if Michael would have embraced Islam he would still be here today," the former Jackson 5 member told the BBC World Service.

I don't know whether the claim LaToya Jacksom is making is true or not, but....

Given below are some ideas to keep you occupied on the Mother's day:

Wake up early and buy your mother fresh flowers.

Buy her something she really wants, buy/make her a card, say "I love you!" a million times, oh, and give her a HUGE hug!

Gave your mom breakfast in bed- fresh berries and other fruits, and sang to her. If by any chance she's out of town for business, you can still call and sing her a song (a conference call, with everyone together). sweet cards and small gifts for tokens of love.

Contact your parents all past and present via phone, e-mail, remembrance etc. just as long as you don't forget them they will know you still love and care for them.

Everyday is a new day, and you should be celebrating all the mothers day by showing love and respect.

It's funny, how people trash their parents and then once a year shows little bit of love.

There should be mother/daughter generation photo shoot so it would be your mom, you, and your son/daughters. Yeah! sounds pretty cool!

This mother's day, take your mother out to eat to a fancy restaurant. She's only been there once (expensive!), and she says its her favorite. I can't wait to surprise her by taking her there!!! (I've been saving up my allowance for weeks!!)

I know its cheesy.. but I also wrote her a card! Hope she likes it! Love my mom! She's my best friend!

Plan to write, and read, an essay to your mom during service. I am kind of afraid because I know I will cry.

Every day we need to love our Mother's and show them respect and care as tokens of love. Not just one day out of the year and to make up for the rest.

Silly how we think we can fit everything into one day, no, it should be all the time. Every day is Mother's Day.

My brothers & I will be going out to dinner with my daughters and my mom, and two sisters and their kids.

If you are a Mom yourself and little older, then you think about the kids, who've given you beautiful grandchildren, and that will make you smile. That's all you need for mothers day.
Then you'll finish cleaning...

My friend says, "I think I'm gonna give my mother another chance, and start looking at her as somebody who's capable of doing right, so she can do better in the future. I'm tired of all the bickering and I just wish me and her were on the same page sometimes. And of course we always get up and bring her breakfast in bed and I come up with some new tea or juice concoction for her since she's a health freak".

Make her breakfast, clean the house the day before, and give gifts like every year.

Do a bit more around the house and make sure she gets to put her feet up. Give her presents and breakfast in bed and take her out for lunch. If it's a nice day she'll probably want to go for a walk somewhere.

Every year take your Mom and MIL to a champagne brunch for a totally decadent meal and understand and appreciate each other, it's a real treat.

The only influential women in my family that is around to celebrate is your mother, so take her out for breakfast. Buy her a gift and a card and of course, some flowers! you should spoil your mum because for the rest of the year she spoils you!

History of Mother's Day

When is Mothers Day and how come we ought to celebrate this sacred day every year!

Well, the earliest Mother's Day Date and the celebrations can be traced back to the spring celebrations of ancient Greece in honor of Rhea, the Mother of the Gods. During the 1600's, England celebrated a day called "Mothering Sunday". Celebrated on the 4th Sunday of Lent (the 40 day period leading up to Easter*), "Mothering Sunday" honored the mothers of England.

During this time many of the England's poor worked as servants for the wealthy. As most jobs were located far from their homes, the servants would live at the houses of their employers. On Mothering Sunday the servants would have the day off and were encouraged to return home and spend the day with their mothers. A special cake, called the mothering cake, was often brought along to provide a festive touch.

As Christianity spread throughout Europe the celebration changed to honor the "Mother Church" - the spiritual power that gave them life and protected them from harm. Over time the church festival blended with the Mothering Sunday celebration . People began honoring their mothers as well as the church.

When is Mother's Day was first suggested in the United States, well that was in 1872 by Julia Ward Howe (who wrote the words to the Battle hymn of the Republic) as a day dedicated to peace. Ms. Howe would hold organized Mother's Day meetings in Boston, Mass ever year.

In 1907 Ana Jarvis, from Philadelphia, began a campaign to establish a national Mother's Day. Ms. Jarvis persuaded her mother's church in Grafton, West Virginia to celebrate Mother's Day on the second anniversary of her mother's death, the 2nd Sunday of May. By the next year Mother's Day was also celebrated in Philadelphia.

Ms. Jarvis and her supporters began to write to ministers, businessman, and politicians in their quest to establish a national Mother's Day. It was successful as by 1911 Mother's Day was celebrated in almost every state. President Woodrow Wilson, in 1914, made the official announcement proclaiming Mother's Day as a national holiday that was to be held each year on the 2nd Sunday of May.

While many countries of the world celebrate their own Mother's Day at different times throughout the year, there are some countries such as Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Australia, and Belgium which also celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May.

In Mothers Day Crafts, usually jewelry is always cute..and you can add so much personality into that. Beaded is easy..and you can buy some beautiful glass beads in her favorite color. If she's not into jewelry type stuff...what about coffee or hot chocolate stuff? You can buy some really cute little glass canister type things and put a drink mix in it, and some shakers type stuff in even smaller cute canisters.. (aka: cinnamon-sugar mix for topping hot chocolate and coffee/ vanilla sugar(recipe found on allrecipes.com) that way she can use the premixed stuff and have cute containers to use over and over again.. combine that with some candles and you have a "relaxation kit"

Mothers Day Crafts For Kids

1) You could decorate a picture frame or make a frame out of a file folder and decorate it. Puzzle pieces can be painted and made into decorative things too. Maybe a collage of pictures from magazines decorated like a poster with the other stuff you have available with each kids handprints traced on there too with a message to mom.

2) Fold a piece of construction paper in half and trace the shape of half a heart on the crease and then cut it out.it forms a heart when u open it. Put swirls of glue on it and set out the paint, glitter, beads and stickers, and rip up the tissue paper into small pieces and let them go to town decorating!!! they'll have a blast,

Different countries celebrate Mother's Day on various days of the year because the day has a number of different origins. One school of thought claims this day emerged from a custom of mother worship in ancient Greece. Mother worship — which kept a festival to Cybele, a great mother of gods, and (mythology), the wife of Cronus; was held around the Vernal Equinox around Asia Minor and eventually in Rome itself from the Ides of March (March 15 to March 18). The Romans also had another holiday, Matronalia, that was dedicated to Juno, though mothers were usually given gifts on this day.

In the United States, Mother's Day was copied from England by social activist Julia Ward Howe after the American Civil War with a call to unite women against war. She wrote the Mother's Day Proclamation. In the UK, the day now simply celebrates motherhood and thanking mothers. According to the National Restaurant Association, Mother's Day is now the most popular day of the year to dine out at a restaurant in the United States.

In most countries, Mother's Day is a new concept copied from western civilization. In many African countries, the idea of one Mother's Day has its origins in copying the British or Mothers Day UK, concept, although there are many festivals and events celebrating mothers within the many diverse cultures on the African continent that have been there centuries before the colonials arrival. In most of East Asia, Mother's Day is a heavily marketed and commercialized concept copied straight from Mother's Day in the USA.

Julia Ward Howe wrote the Mother's Day Proclamation in 1870, as a call for peace and disarmament. Howe failed in her attempt to get formal recognition of a Mother's Day for Peace. Her idea was influenced by Ann Jarvis, a young Appalachian homemaker who, starting in 1858, had attempted to improve sanitation through what she called Mothers' Work Days. She organized women throughout the Civil War to work for better sanitary conditions for both sides, and in 1868 she began work to reconcile Union and Confederate neighbors. In parts of the United States it is customary to plant tomatoes outdoors after mother's day (and not before.)

When Jarvis died, her daughter, named Anna Jarvis, started the crusade to found a memorial day for women. The first such Mother's Day was celebrated in Grafton, West Virginia, on May 10, 1908, in the church where the elder Ann Jarvis had taught Sunday School. Grafton is the home to the International Mother's Day Shrine. From there, the custom caught on — spreading eventually to 45 states. The holiday was declared officially by some states beginning in 1912. In 1914 President Woodrow Wilson declared the first national Mother's Day, as a day for American citizens to show the flag in honor of those mothers whose sons had died in war (with specific reference to The Great War, now known as World War I). Nine years after the first official Mother's Day holiday, commercialization of the U.S. holiday became so rampant that Anna Jarvis herself became a major opponent of what the holiday had become. Mother's Day continues to this day to be one of the most commercially successful U.S. holidays.

There are a number of differences between this strain of influenza and the Spanish 1918 flu epidemic.

First, the primary reason the 1918 Flu Epidemic was so wide spread was partially because so many people were in military camp barracks, where disease can spread rapidly.

Second, healthy individuals had an over-reaction of their immune system, causing excessive secretions in their lungs. This caused secondary bacteria infections, and it is very likely that more people died from bacteria pneumonia than influenza.

Last, that epidemic hit in the middle of winter, when influenza tends to spread faster because people are more confined due to cold weather.

The swine flu of 2009 is a far milder infection than the 1918 Flu Epidemic, and the late spring onset means less chance for a more virulent second wave later in the season.

The challenge of global warming is a reality and can not be ignored; and if somehow it is overlooked then our future generation will have to face the inevitable disaster.

It is widely accepted & expressed in the conferences at United Nations - U.N , New York, Paris, London and all around the world that our climate actually is in crisis and it happened due to the industrial hazardous exhausts wastes and other chemical emissions into our atmosphere. True, but the real question is what can be done about it right now?

World leaders (people in power) who are supposed to take care of this problem mainly because that’s their job and partly because it’s the moral duty, but they are simply not taking responsibility and keep on shying away from the disaster which is right before our eyes. They have got many excuses to run away from this fact, well they would say, we are now used to the status-co and what’s done is done. It does not pose any clear and present danger right now.

Ironically even though apparently this problem appears to be a very complicated and impossible to solve;

But the Good News is:

It CAN be cured and repaired quite quickly provided there must be a complete realization of the following facts:

A) it is a great problem

B) it can be solved and

C) community of the nations (world) have the capability & capacity to address this mess effectively and efficiently right now.

Earth Day Message of Hope:

why is it called earth day? aren't we all on earth everyday , and why do we have to care about earth for just one day , it is just weird.

Exactly. Good question & good response by dripmail. We should do the right thing everyday. It doesn't hurt, however, to have a day to remind us of what is right & focus our attention back to it.

I guess that it is called Earth Day because it is to remind us to do help out the Earth.
Well, I guess that if you have Earth Day everyday, not like I am complaining or anything, most people would forget that it is a day to help the Earth, because that's at the same time, Earth Day is hope for future our generations, It might be better if there was more than one day or even every day!

Easter Holiday celebrations, the happiest and greatest holiday in the Christian way of life calendar, on that day the Christians all over the world celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I see many people ask one common question where ever I go, especially amongst the 'Catholic faith' gatherings, and that question is; When Is happy Easter clebrations fall in 2009? or What day is Easter?

Jesus' account of trial and subsequent 'death plenty' (execution) is describe in length
in the Gospels under historical records. Basically Jesus teachings were rejected and he was condemned by Jewish religious gurus.

The Jews objected and subsequently, rejected the Jesus' claim to be their 'Messiah' - (the future King of Israel from the Davidic line, who will rule the people of united Jewish tribes of Israel, and herald them into Messianic Age of global peace).

The religious authorities of Roman government sentenced Him by death plenty. In the Gospel it is stated that Jesus was apparently tortured very brutally to death by nailing his both hands and feet in the shape of a cross.

In the Gospel records the account of Jesus shows that; three days after His apparent death some local women and His loyal disciples found His tomb empty. To their astonishment, the Jesus appeared in front of them alive, talking and eating fresh honey corn besides them.
The disciples couldn't believe, after all that brutal torture He can still talk with smiles and eat food like a alive human being. They thought this was one of His another miracles that he used to present by help of God, as He said in the Bible "I can't do nothing, but, by the help of Almighty God".

The disciples were in shock and full of doubts, thinking may be God have mercy upon him and kept him unharmed and alive somehow. But still they wanted to 'check-him-out', one of the disciple actually touched him to see if He is the spirit or a man with flesh and bones who is standing in front of them unharmed after all that brutal punishment and torture.

The following next forty days, tens of hundreds of people witnessed by their own eyes the Jesus who was able to returned from death until He ascended to Heaven.
Jesus had promised his people the eternal life to those who follow his teachings. If he wouldn't had showed himself off after his death, Jesus Christ would have been no more than just a religious scholar with a finite time period.

But the as a matter of fact he rose from death, is a clear demonstration that he had the power over death, and therefore, only through his teachings people can hope for eternal life and would pass for Haven admission.

Chocolate Bar Cake Layered with Black an brown

There is always a very deep and direct relation between the valentine's day and enjoying products of chocolates especially extra rich chocolate cake jacked-up with strong hot black Coffee. Here is my yet another family secret recipe. Indulge yourself into something very sweet & heavenly delicious!

Preparation::
8 oz Dark semisweet chocolate pieces
2/3 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
4 Eggs
4 heaped Tb All purpose flour
4 Tb Unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Vanilla extract
4 Tb Sour cream
2/3 cup Heavy cream or whipping cream
9 oz Semisweet chocolate pieces
Oven Temp ~ 350° Baking Time ~ 50 Min. Pan Type ~ 10 inch round cake pan (3 inches high)
Preheat oven.
Line your cake tin (3 inches tall) with greaseproof or other non-stick paper and grease the tin.
Melt chocolate pieces with butter over hot water.
Beat together the eggs and sugar mix in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and vanilla extract.
Slowly fold in the melted butter and dark chocolate mix along with the sour cream.
Bake at suggested temp. until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool the cake.
Remove the crusted edges on the top of the cake, and cut cake in half, horizontally.

Frosting

Heat the heavy cream or whipping cream with some milk in a sauce pan, stirring so that it does not burn. Do Not Boil. Remove from heat, add semisweet chocolate & fudge pieces, stir until smooth, and let it cool until in thickens. Use one 1/3 of the frosting between the two layers, 1/3 on top, and the rest around the cake. Put the cake into the fridge for one hour or more to harden the frosting.
This cake should be room temperature when served. Enjoy!!

He says Gitmo will be closed, but still doesn't know where the terrorists will go. He is trying to win the Arab world, pandering.

The entire community of the world heard Mr Obama and praised him. I think no world leader is praised like him so far. Let us see what Mr Obama can do for the establishment of peace in the world. I think the its a quite a serious blow far as Chris Brown rap music and his career is concerned, most certainly when he admitted the charge against him in front of the media and said “I’m sorry".

Apart from the question; why he beat up Rehanna like that? The real question is what now - would we ever hear the news about his music? He’ll have to produce a really good and out of this world music videos which would end up in top 1000 chat or something to get his repute a little bit better, provided of course, he is acquitted from the charge.

Many people may think may be Chris did it because Rihanna was unfaithful? Or she must have done very bad to provoke him like this. I don’t think so; just have a look at the pictures of Rihanna or Rihanna videos circulating all around the media. For whatever reason he doesn’t have the right to beat her up like that.
